serve Johnson County victims of domestic violence. Responsibilities

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree a plus. Background may
include Domestic Violence, Social Work, Mental Health, Healthcare, or a related
field. 3yrs professional experience is required. Direct service experience is
required. Organized, oriented toward client success and program outcomes. Data
tracking and reporting experience preferred. Professional
characteristics: Excellent work ethic and track record of achievement.

HOUSE CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES
COORDINATOR
REPORTS TO: Program Services
Director Job Description: The Crisis
Intervention Services Coordinator (CISC) at Middle Way House assures the
presence of a face-to-face emergency response 24/7; provides support to
victims/survivors of sexual and domestic violence over the phone and in-person
in one-on-one settings and in support group format. The CISC assists with
volunteer recruitment and training; participates in awareness and prevention
activities, including school-based programs and training of gateway
professionals; the dissemination of print information and origination of
messages for mass media, particularly for Sexual Assault Awareness Month; and
public speaking. DUTIES: 1.
Maintain 24/7 on-scene advocacy schedule; recruit and support volunteer
advocates. 2. Provide or arrange for on-scene victim services 40 hours/week
to support to victims of domestic and sexual violence at-the-scene or in the
ER/hospital. 3. Participate in organization and presentation of 8-hour
pre-service and follow-up crisis line training, and schedule and conduct
on-scene advocacy training. 4. Participate in the Sexual Assault Response
Team (SART). 5. Present information about the dynamics of domestic and
sexual violence for community and campus groups; co-present training to
healthcare providers and auxiliary staff through the Medical Advocacy Program.
6. Plan, organize and participate in prevention-related activities
throughout the year, especially during April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
7. Facilitate sexual assault survivors' support groups. 8. Compile
reports on activities undertaken and services provided for grants; evaluate
programming and services for survivors. 9. Participate in direct service,
all staff, crisis line, and on-scene advocacy meetings. 10. Participate in
staff on-call rotation for the Emergency Shelter. 11. Other duties as
necessary to fulfill Middle Way's mission.
Spanish speaker preferred.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time
