Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Resource Center

Economic Justice Project

In order to assist victims of domestic violence to achieve economic self-sufficiency and move from victim to survivor, the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic (ICADV) is establishing a fund that will address transportation and needs of victims. It will include paying for transportation to emergency shelter and resources, relocation to a safe environment, and/or to reunite victims with their support system. In addition it will help survivors pay down debt, re-establish credit, pay uninsured medical costs, security deposits, and first month's rents. Currently the fund is small with $10,000 allocated to transportation and $3,500 for security deposits, rent, and medical expenses; however, ICADV will continue to seek additional resources to support this vital project.
