ICADV Committees
|

Responsible for keeping current and overseeing the implementation of the
membership recruitment plan and fee schedule; facilitating the development of
benefits and services for members; serving as a liaison between Membership and
the Board; and recommending and supervising any policies necessary to sustain,
support, and increase the membership of ICADV.
Women in Prison Task Force: The Women in Prison task force is a subcommittee of the ICADV Membership Committee and its purpose is to provide resources and support to women serving time for domestic violence related offenses, analyze such sentences for men and women to determine any disparity, and select specialized cases to assist with pardons or clemency.
- Engaging Men: The purpose of the ICADV Men's Engagement Working Group is to engage men state-wide in working to respond to and prevent domestic violence. The Men's Engagement Working Group achieves this goal through several strategies:
developing programming to engage men state-wide; providing technical assistance to local agencies, organizations and coalitions about effectively educating and engaging men; and
developing resources and programming to assist local programs in their efforts to engage men
It is the belief of ICADV that the best way to achieve our goals of responding effectively to and preventing domestic violence requires men to be integrally involved. This means working with local programs to assist them in their efforts to educate men, developing projects and programming on the local and state-levels that effectively engage men, and ensuring that men are involved in multiple aspects of domestic violence response and prevention at both the local and state-wide levels.
